Edit.. the original review was for the old siabod, the new siabod was crap, everything burnt but cold work that out🤦♂️..added to that the quality of ingredients when compared to the prices - shocking! 16 for a mm "large" breakfast and a coffee,well a half size cup coffee ..if I was to some it up with an emoji it would be the one that falls out of a dogs ass 🤷♂️
My only Complaint would be i struggled to walk up Snowden after that breakfast haha was absolutely beautiful!
Probably the best customer service in the area too, the lady taking the orders was so bubble,chatty and helpful.

Sadly no longer the friendly easy cafe it used to be. Not great customer service, I would even say the man who served us was rude, and the food is pretty expensive for what it is. Real shame.

The issue encountered was going into the cafe which closed in an hour and staff cleaning up mopping floors stacking chairs on tables but still serving people. Didn't make the right environment for coffee.

First visit this week and met the new owner, very friendly and certainly knows his coffee. Probably the best coffee in Snowdonia and look forwards to going back and exploring the menu. Was made the feel very welcome even though it was wet and close to closing time. Look forwards to going back even though it’s several hundred miles from home. Top man!

Lost all the local charm and cozy feel from the previous owners. Now supporting 'local' artist, the mugs are AI art and naff. Would have been nice to see local photographers and artwork on the walls for sale again, and actually locally hand crafted pottery, or just hand painted but with real artwork. Hopefully this is just snags of newly opening. The food wasn't anything special so I'm questioning the authenticity of some of the reviews.

I’m attempting to write an unbiased review, acknowledging the previous owners’ high standards, quality food, general ‘ambience’ and the love that many people have for the place. I’ve read most, if not all of the reviews since the new owners have taken over, and it makes for ‘interesting’ reading as reviews fluctuate quite wildly between excellent….and not so excellent! I’ve visited the place many times through the years, and loved it, so it was with some interest I popped in during the last week on three occasions for a bite to eat. (Coffee and cake twice, and a veggie breakfast). I have to say that the place looks lovely, it’s bright with attractive décor. The staff were very friendly, and the food and service was excellent. It will of course take time for the new owners to build up a reputation, and perhaps they’re well on the way to achieving that now. These things don’t happen overnight, but I wish them every success for the future and look forward to my next visit. Thank you!

It’s difficult not to compare when it was in previous ownership. There are a couple of down sides. The first is the menu is more restrictive and there’s not much to differentiate it from any other cafe. The second is they’ve now introduced speakers for radio/musak which really spoils the atmosphere.
To improve their offering I suggest a more expanded perhaps offering something that gives them a USP. Also, hot plates for hot meals would be nice, my small breakfast was luke warm.

Having closed and reopened under new management, I stopped in with a couple of friends as we were passing.
The food and coffee was okay, but was disappointed that the chairs, sofas and carpet were gone, leaving bare floors and a sparse atmosphere - not the warm, cosy atmosphere that I was used to.
Hopefully, it's just temporary and we see a return of the creature comforts soon.

Visited today and very disappointed by having to listen to loud music been forced on us, such a shame.
I hope the new owner looks at these remarks and takes heed.

The staff is very very lovely!!! And the food…. Gosh!!! The tastiest I’ve eaten in a long time!!! Simple, home made food, (e.g. tuna mayo jacket or chicken panini) super tasty even the side salad and a coleslaw is out of this world! Do yourself a favour and if you are in this area pop in and ‘eat’ for yourself :)
